Alan Fletcher
Alan Fletcher may be best known for his twenty nine year (& counting) tenure on Neighbours, but lately it’s his talent and passion for making folk and Americana music that has been delighting audiences at home and abroad. Drawing on the influence of legendary storytellers like John Prine & Guy Clark, Alan crafts & delivers songs that tackle the human condition with warmth, compassion & a wry sense of humour.
Alan has worked as an actor & musician for more than 45 years in Australia & the United Kingdom. As an actor, Alan is a household name because of his portrayal of Dr Karl Kennedy for 30 years on the iconic Australian drama Neighbours As a musician, he has performed as a front man for rock band Waiting Room that played a weekly residency in Melbourne for twelve years & toured the UK ten times over eight years.

​In 2020 he moved away from Rock & commenced a solo career in Americana/Alt-Country & Folk. Collaborating with producers Lachlan Bryan & Damian Cafarella (Lachlan Bryan and the Wildes) Alan has released an EP Dispatches and an album titled The Point.

In the Summer of 2024 Alan toured the UK with a full band, playing 20 sell-out dates in venues the length & breadth of the country, including a performance at the prestigious Kendal Calling Festival in Lowther.​ Alan also has a passion for Christmas music releasing four original tracks to date including his Aussie themed holiday song “It’s Gonna Be A Good Christmas”

Alan has been a regular performer at Tamworth Country Music Festival since 2019 & he & his band will perform again at the Festival in 2025 as well as once again putting on a full tour the UK from July 2025.
Since the release of his acclaimed full-length album "The Point" in 2022, ‘Fletch’ has toured heavily on both the Australian & UK Americana circuits, including a run of twenty UK dates with collaborators Lachlan Bryan, Riley Catherall and Jennifer Hansen in 2024. ​Alan has just released a Country Duet with life partner of 36 years Jennifer Hansen called Tell 'Em (link below)
